Lyrics
From Glory to a Manger
Refrain
Christ started out in glory with His Father
Yet He gave up His rights to become a babe in a manger
And He walked among us relieving pain and sickness and hunger
For our sins He hung on a cross accepting death and danger
From glory to a manger to the cross and back to glory
This is just the beginning of the Gospel story
For that babe did not come to remain within that stall
He wants to live in the hearts of us all
May we be as willing to humble ourselves to be reconciled to sinners
May we be as willing to submit to God’s will to bring to our homes peace
May we be as willing to sacrifice to show God’s love to others
May we be as willing to die to self so that Christ might increase (refrain)
May we be as willing to humble ourselves to walk beside the lowly
May we be as willing to submit to God’s will to bring to darkness light
May we be as willing to die to sin and live lives which are holy
May we be as willing to sacrifice and choose that which is right (refrain)
May we be as willing to humble ourselves and bear the burdens of others
May we be as willing to submit to God’s will and accept suffering and pain
May we be as willing to sacrifice to provide for our brothers
May we be as willing to die to self to bring glory to God’s name (refrain)
